Below are just a few of the services that Ms. Tessa is qualified to offer your family. Story telling is a confidence booster and a foundation for learning many vital academic skills. Don’t let the playful, goofy, fun look of learning deter you from persuing a relationship with Ms. Tessa. Learning should feel great. Children can learn rigorously while have a blast! Ms. Tessa uses developmentally responsive approach to supporting children in acquiring literacy skills needed to becoming a lover of literacy! She uses her 20 years of experience and training to build learning for each child that uses a specific equation of high interest and need that leads to not only new skills, but a yearn to use those skills!
Only child? Children not ‘getting along’ with others? Wondering if they know the skills that will help them feel confident and successful in school? Ms. Tessa is trained in Conflict Resolution and Early Language experiences to support your child’s first days at school. She will meet you at a park, decide a location with you together, or visit you in your home. Email play@taleswithtessa.org for a proposed cost based on your families needs.

Tessa Baden is a nature and play advocate who shares her personal transformation story to inspire reflection, connection, and evolution in others.
Tales with Tessa is focused on making learning feel joyful and dignified for all, children and those who guide them.
Tessa started her career at Camp C.A.M.P. (a camp for people of all abilities) and various (pre)schools. For almost 20 years, she has journeyed through public and private education spaces exploring opportunities to ensure adults trust and honor children’s learning to occur in its most authentic form, PLAY. She encourages others to name the challenges and fears they face in working with children and find peaceful ways to transform their thinking and action.
Her personal mission is to advocate peace, joy and dignity for all children and those who guide them in all spaces, always.
Tessa is the mother to two strong, clever, and compelling souls. Her favorite place to be is outside camping, walking, hiking, playing with loose parts in her backyard and sharing books with others!
